Love Buxton or Not?

Do you love Buxton? It's got lots to offer the visitor but have Buxton's residents been forgotton?

Buxton has always been a town that's had a certain appeal...after all it has much to offer the discerning visitor, beautiful countryside, impressive architecture, spa waters and thermal baths, fresh air etc. But what about the locals and do they love Buxton for the same reasons?

Well, it depends on who you speak to. I think it is fair to say that we do live in a beautiful town with lots going for it and many of the people who live in Buxton will tell you that they love Buxton too.

There are lots of businesses that cater for the visitor to the town and these include restaurants, cafes, pubs, gift shops, hotels, tours, and activity businesses. People come here from all around the world to celebrate, and party. Buxton balloons and party accessories help to make some of these occasions memorable and we are fortunate that these visitors spend money in plenty of local shops, some of which goes back in to the local community.

Yes, as locals we feel we need more car parks, better roads, and better health care facilities, but this is probably true of many towns up and down our beautiful land.

If you're planning a visit to this historic town, you probably won't be disappointed, especially if you are coming here to meet up with family or friends to celebrate some kind of occasion. Buxton's geographic location makes it an ideal place for meet-ups, and with all the hotels and guest houses to choose from, there is no shortage of quality accommodation or venues for those party celebrations.
